That was...um...interesting to say the least. The graphics were above average but nothing revolutionary, nothing going above and beyond.
The animation was decent too, I only felt a lack animation in one scene, and that was where he was vomiting and it kept rising. That went on for ten-twelve seconds too long, which is a lot when your actually watching the video.
I too am going to take the side of the reviewer in front of me, and ask what kind of school allowed you to do this for a project, because this doesn't seem appropriate in the least bit?
The sound gets a 6 out of 10 from me, just because the only audio is the song, and the viewer either likes it or they don't, there's no secondary sounds to fall back on.
Overall, this is a very "different" video and after seeing, I still don't know what the hell it was about. Take it as a compliment or whatever Dan545, this is an above average music video and is definitely worth a glimpse.

This is a great concept for a game that is ultimately ruined by the flawed controls. More often than not I would click the "Send to a Friend" link or click outside the windows because of these controls. Everything else about this game is terrific, but I can't recommend this game deserving more than 7 for the controls.

Give it Away Now...what an amazing flash. I'm glad that there are still some fellow clock crew members that post decent animations.
The graphics were great and looked gorgeous, even in black and white. The style was straight from the Red Hot Chili Pepper's video which was a pretty unique style originally, and I think you managed to capture that style all around here.
The one thing that came to mind after this video was, why can the Clocks sing perfectly, but then talk in that robotic voice? Just something I'm thinking about, nothing really important.
You get a five for more and this video is going on my favorite list...which now is at a total of three submissions.
Very, very nice work Liqour_Clock, I hope to see more from you in the future.

Alright...the last Clock Kong had several mistakes and glitches in it that you fixed up very nicely, so that makes the game play a lot better now.
I still have some of the same problems as I had before. The sound can get really annoying. Especially when Clock Kong says something like "Flip it!" or something like that, I can't really understand him, but that's my fault.
The graphics are mixed. The sprites are very nice, and the animations that accompany them are equally impressive.
However, the backgrounds are still repetitive and uninteresting. The full version of this would benefit from a varied background.
Also, there is one little typo that is annoying me. When you die, the button says Try Agian. I don't know if your doing what most of the other Clock Crew members are doing and using bad spelling, but if not you might want to fix that in a future version.
These are just some of my suggestions and I'm not trying to be mean, especially when you consider that this is a beta for it. I just have one more question, does this game end? I got pretty far but stopped playing to write this review.
Overall, this is a decent little game, and with a few changes it would be more than that.

Yep, I tried my best to fix any actionscript bugs. Like I told the reviewer above you, the background is not final at all. It's my test BG that I made in like 10 seconds lol. The plan is to progress to the next level once you reach a certain score. The beta doesn't end :) And also, I'll fix that typo. I didn't notice that, thanks :)

Wow...give it up for Sundial, one of maybe a dozen select Clock Crew members who can actually use flash. It's great to say some Clock Crew members who actually try to do good work, and this is what this is.
There graphics were top notch, my only problem is that at the end when they went to the Color Clocks' base, it was all grey inside, and lacked color, which is odd since they are the Color Clocks. So the backgrounds in there got very old.
This is definitely going to be one of my favorite submission, and this is one of the best Clock Crew films I've seen in a long, long, long time...though not as good as The Void II (but many fall flat compared to that film). Keep up the good work and soon your movies 'will make House Party, look like House Party 2'....(Just a quote from Jay and Silent Bob).
TheBluntSDK gives Charlie's Clocks a well deserved 9 out of 10
Author's Response:
Thanks, TheBluntSDK! I'm glad you enjoyed it. Yeah the place was dark and grey inside because a) it was supposed to be kind of ironic, b) the color clocks looked good against a grey background, and c) It was a reference to greyclock, the other color clock. Well, I just made up that last one, but I like greyclock. Of coarse it's not as good as VOID II. VOID II was 1337. By the way, your "Yin-Yang Clock" can be seen somewhere in the movie. And you are thanked in the credits (I dont know if you remember, but you helped in my post about plot ideas for this movie on the CC BBS.) Anyway, thanx for the lengthy review!

I don't see how this got such a high ranking. Firstly, the graphics are horrible. The sprites look nice, but when on such a blank bankground....it looked like it was designed by a grade-schooler.
The sound was average. It was really good, but for a lot of the movie it's just blank, with no sounds to be found. I loved the sound effects when I heard them, but for the majority of this movie you don't hear them.
The idea was good, and I like it, but it had a poor execution. There was a good plot to be found, but it was hard to tell what was going on because it jumped around so much. The narrative helped a little....but only a little.
If you could improve upon these downfalls in your next movie it would be all the better, but as this stands right now, I can't see this movie being better than average.

Every now and then I get a good review that's not moronic and actually has points to it and this happens to be one. Point well made I'll be sure to keep all that in mind. Thank you for the intellegent review :)

This is a nice idea, but the execution ends up being way too short.
I liked the animation. It was fluid for the most part, but did have some times where it was a little bit choppy. The graphics were good for a stick figure film, but when compared to other animations I've seen, it doesn't really hold up.
The sound was the best thing you had going in this animation, and fit everything just right.
What I didn't like was when he lands on the desk, and you have to wait for the whole scene to shift over. With that being said, I think this is a worthy stick figure film, but again, when compared to most of the other high-calibur animations on Newgrounds, it just doesn't stack up.

Not bad, in fact I like it. The graphics were nicely done, but the animation was a little choppy at times though. The sound was nice, I liked the way Benny sounded. The little green guy at the end, however, I couldn't hear what he said because his voice was so high and he spoke too fast.
Also I had a problem with Mr. T speaking too much. That and all of his captures sounded different, which was a minor flaw, but was distracting. Next time you use Mr. T maybe you could imitate his voice yourself or get someone else to help, and it would come off as more natural and would fit with Benny and the others' voices.
The only really funny part I found in here was something that Mr. T said about a fish. The rest of it wasn't too funny, and it didn't really have much of a story or plot to it.
Either way, this animation is just above average, but doesn't do much to step above that.
TheBluntSDK gives Mr.T vs Benny a decent 6 out of 10

First off...I hate animators like you. You know what you are putting out on Newgrounds (i.e. shit) and you do it anyways with a cocky attitude (Author's Comments "Yup"). You all think it's really funny to add garbage and low-grade animations to the Portal...well, it's not funny.
I'm not trying to go off on you, but that is all you see now a days on Newgrounds. A bunch of assholes posting shit, and we're only seeing maybe that 8% of all the entries are actually any good...probably even less than that.
Here's my review of your piece. The intro was good as many said, but it was too long. It was about 10 times longer than the actual cartoon. The cartoon didn't do anything. It was a just an old man moving his head in his arms...horrible!
Here's a tip, try making an actual animation instead of this garbage. You have talent, which is seen, but this is not good...be it far from it. This is a waste of web space.
Work harder next time, or don't submit this shit anymore, and that goes to all you out there who are like this.

Author's Response:
TheBluntSDK,
Thank you for your comments on my film.
I am sorry if my film offended you in any way, as that was not what was intended.
Also, i did not mean to sound cocky in my comments, and if it seems as if i did, i apologize. (It was a continuation of what I wrote in the brief description, but the brief description didn't show up on the movie page, only the commentary)
I understand that most people will hate this film, as there are only around 4 people who actually "get" it.
Finally, in my defense, alot of the reviewers tell me that i didn't work hard on this submission, but on the contrary, sadly, i worked on it from 7am until 5pm (I am still very unfamiliar with Flash).
Look out for a more mainstream submission in the future.

...Unbelievable. It's amazing how many low-quality animations are being put on Newgrounds now a days.
There is no real animation in this. Frozen pictures with moving text. And I've never seen these on the adult swim before, and if I have, you've taken what I've seen and turned it into this garbage. The sound is ultimately annoying. And this animation isn't really funny at all.
I honestly can not find a redeeming quality in the giant heap of textual trash. Next time when you submit an animation into Newgrounds, make it an actual animation.
